INTRODUCTION

When we study and learn a new language it is important that we do so taking into account aspects of the language beyond the linguistic aspects themselves, and among the most relevant are the cultural and historical factors, with the customs of the country in which it is spoken. Learning about it is also a way to make learning more immersive and meaningful.

Therefore, we propose a series of activities for a 5th grade class on the practice of English using as a main theme one of the most important holidays in the Anglo-Saxon culture: Thanksgiving Day.
